“The world’s most innovative companies play an essential role in addressing the most pressing issues facing society, whether they’re fighting climate change by spurring decarbonization efforts, ameliorating the strain on supply chains, or helping us reconnect with one another over shared passions,” said Fast Company Deputy Editor David Lidsky.

Fast Company is a media brand dedicated to the vital intersection of business, innovation, and design, engaging the most influential leaders, companies, and thinkers on the future of business. Their goal is to seek the most groundbreaking businesses across the globe and industries. Through their list of The World’s Most Innovative Companies, they provide a snapshot and road map for the future of innovation across the most dynamic sectors of the economy.

What does innovation mean to Nuvocargo? For us, innovation is an ongoing commitment to deliver true value to shippers and carriers in the industry so that they can keep the supply chain flowing and growing their businesses. Our mission is not only to see the economy pushing forward, but to make our customer’s lives easier and encourage their potential.

“When our customers — shippers and carriers moving goods between the US and Mexico — experience a magical moment working with Nuvocargo and they think to themselves, ‘How could I have done things differently before?’ That's what innovation means to us. Behind that moment, there’s many paths explored that didn’t pan out, constant and sometimes painful iteration, and especially a group of immensely talented people who love to solve thorny problems. But when it works, it’s special and it leads to customers sending more shippers and carriers our way,” says Claudio Gonzalez, Head of Strategy at Nuvo.

“Innovation is combining first-principles thinking with learning from the experts. We don’t aim to simply digitize experiences to simplify trade, we aim to understand them deeply and solve challenges from their root-causes. Why do these challenges exist for our customers, what have we learned from what is in place, and how can we distill this knowledge into new solutions? We often ask our customers “If you had a magic wand, what would this look like for you?”. We want to be their magic wand and evolve this industry together.  We want shippers and carriers to see us as their partners in unlocking the next level of achievements for their businesses,” says Anaid Chacon, Head of Product at Nuvocargo.

Nuvocargo made this year’s list due to our ongoing efforts to provide a one-stop-shop for the supply chain industry by offering a digital platform to secure freight and gain visibility into movements and workflows, plus solutions for cross-border trade including customs clearance, cargo insurance, reporting, and supply chain financing services. We’re proud to be recognized for the relentless efforts we’re making to transform a trillion-dollar industry and keep the supply chain moving.

We continue to grow rapidly, expanding our product solutions in the industry, and strengthening our existing carrier and shipper network on both sides of the border. In addition, we are developing new revenue streams and additional financial products for shippers and carriers, targeting the $125B+ market for supply chain finance between the US and Mexico. We expect to grow the team to over 250+ employees across the US and Mexico and generate tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue in 2022.
